Theme for this week:

The Global Day of Prayer is a call for all the nations to rise up in prayers, to praise and to worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. May we pray unceasingly for the 10 days, like in the book of Acts, for His Kingdom to come and his Will to be done on earth.

Let us all pray with expectancy that God will move BEFORE us, that great and mighty things will happen ON the day of Pentecost!

“Oh, that You would rend the heavens and come down, that the mountains would tremble before You, as when fire sets twigs ablaze and causes water to boil , come down and make Your name known to Your enemies” (Isaiah 64:1-2)

*In a little while, I will once more shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land. I will shake all nations and the desired of all nations will come, and I will fill this house with Glory. “ (Haggai 2:6-7)

May God shake whatever that has to be shaken and in days to come, He will heal and bring forth FULL restoration to many people and their families. May Hong Kong be blessed and be filled with the joy of His glory

Let us all join hearts and minds during the 10 days before Pentecost, to pray—THE LORD’S PRAYER—The prayer that Jesus taught His disciples to pray.

Richest blessings to all of you!

8 - 14 MAY 2010

GDOP is a prayer movement where Christians from all nations and sectors of the society gather together to pray. This week we pray for UNITYas this is the prayer Christ prayed for us before He was crucified on the cross.

Dear Father God,

Jesus’ final prayer for his disciples shows His deepest longing for His followers that they have to be united as ONE (John 17):

  • “I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name—the name you gave me—so that they may be ONE as we are ONE” (John 17:11).
  • “that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you” (John 17:21).

Father, we repent that there are times we do not love our brothers enough because of our self-righteousness, selfish ambition and false teaching. May You give us a spirit of wisdom and understanding to know how to support and encourage our brothers in times of crisis and crucial moments. So that when one falls, another would lift him up and we would carry each other's burdens.
We pray that our unity is not only based on organizational unity, on meetings, works and conferences, but rather a unity of heart , purpose, mind and will and for us to lead a life totally devoted to Christ, His Will , His Word and His Holiness. Your Word says “there is one body, and one Spirit--—just you were called –one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all “(Ephesians 4: 4-6).

Father, in unity we would like to proclaim that You are our Father and we are Your children. Please give us Your love that we will stop pointing fingers at each other but rather love each other in spite of our imperfections and short-comings. May we lay down our differences on the cross and begin to work on our similarities. May we love one another the way You love us. (John 15: 12). Please give us the joy in You that keep us level-headed regardless of circumstances. (John 15:11). Lord, may you have all the honour and Glory.

In Jesus’ Holy name, we pray,
Amen

Richest blessings to all of you!

1 - 7 MAY 2010

Dear Prayer Partners,

On this year’s GDOP, we shall invite the youth to conduct the parade and to lead prayers for the seven mountains. So let us pray for them:

Dear Father God,

May You:

  • call the Youth with a pure and right heart and may they respond to Your call;
  • help them know that they are the chosen ones to represent You on earth to pray for the different issues in the society to bring transformation and revival;
  • bless the Youth with one mind, one heart and one spirit to pray and to worship You though they come from different churches and different backgrounds;
  • bless them with Your wisdom and revelations to pray what is in their hearts for the different spheres of influence in the city. Let them learn how to stand in the gap and to pray for the city;
  • give the Youth a heart of gratitude to count their blessings and may they learn to be content whatever the circumstances are, as a cheerful heart is good medicine (Proverbs 17:22)
  • let them learn to be humble and optimistic and not look at the half-empty glass always. May they have the conviction to take up responsibility and boldly fill up the empty glass to its full measure.

May the Youth excel us and target our ceiling as their floor. May they be able to use their talents and resources to build on whatever the older generations have created and built upon it.

We pray for a hedge of protection to be raised around them and the blood of Jesus to cover the Youth and their families so they can fulfill the purpose and destiny You have set in their lives.

In Jesus’ Holy Name we pray,
Amen.

Richest blessings to all of you!

24 - 30 APR 2010

This week we pray for the upcoming Global Day Of Prayer on May 23, 2010 at the Hong Kong Stadium.

Dear Father God,

We praise and thank You, ABBA Father, for Your divine Mercy and Grace upon the GDOP in the past 5 years. This year we unite as a Body in Christ to seek Your will and come back to the heart of the Father.

We pray the Lord’s prayer, “May Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven”. Father, we humble ourselves before You and cry out and to acknowledge Your sovereign power over our city. We acknowledge we cannot solve our problems through human solutions. We need Heaven to invade Earth and we pray that Your Kingdom will once again be established on earth and You reign as our King over all.

We pray that whatever we think and whatever we do, we are aligned with the heart of our Father. We pray that we shall have:

  • Communication but not confrontation
  • Prayers but not empty talk, idle words and gossips
  • Gentle words but not harsh words (Proverb 15:1)
  • Godly righteousness but not self-righteousness and materialism
  • Kingdom principles and culture but not man-made rules and values
  • Kingdom mindset but not only church mindset
  • Redemption of the 7 mountains but not only a church within 4 walls

We pray for Your heavenly wisdom and revelation because knowledge from the world without revelation from You, God, is not going to bring revival and transformation to the city. You taught us in Your Word that there are two kinds of wisdom: earthly and heavenly, as it is written in James 3:13-18

“Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, of the devil. For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.”

But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness.

Father, we pray for a great visitation of the Holy Spirit on that day. May You bring down strongholds and everything that HINDERS the move of God to carry out Your will on that day.

In this year’s GDOP, we pray that all of us once again will turn our hearts back to You in praise and worship, in petitions, in proclamation, in celebration and to end this event with the full victory in Christ!

In Jesus’ Holy Name we pray,
Amen

Richest Blessings to all of you!

17 - 23 APR 2010

This week, we pray for those in AUTHORITY based on the Biblical verse in 1 Timothy 2:1-2

I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone— for kings and all those in authority.

Dear Father God,

You taught us in the Bible that we should pray for everyone starting from those in AUTHORITY.

First, may we pray for our spiritual leaders who stand before God and have influence in heavenly places.

  • Let us pray that they will be led both by the Word - For the Word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart (Hebrews 4:12) and by the Holy Spirit - Not by power, nor by might but by His Spirit (Zechariah 4:6). Hence, they will inherit God’s character, bearing the fruit of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) as well the gifts of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12: 1-11)
  • Let them be able to carry the Power, Presence and the Passion of Christ and be able to move in the supernatural realm and bring heaven to earth like in the books of Acts.
  • May the leaders instill within the flock a greater hunger so that they will not settle for elementary teaching that is milk but crave for more solid food leading them to the full maturity in Christ just like in Hebrew 5.

Secondly may we pray for our civil leaders (leaders in the seven mountains). Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will be responsible for their own actions. (Romans 13:1-2).

  • Lord, may you give our civil leaders the wisdom and revelation to maintain law and order, maintain discipline within their organizations, keep the communication channels open, protect freedom of speech within reasonable boundaries so we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all Godliness and Holiness which pleases God our Saviour (1 Timothy 2:2-3).

May we corporately pray unceasingly and also with the Knowledge of God’s Will like Joseph, Daniel, and Esther in the bible. May we be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to anger. May our prayers bring restoration to the Church and to the city so that there will be a fulfillment of God’s purpose which is in the best interests of His people.

In Jesus’ Holy Name we pray,
Amen

Richest Blessings to all of you!

10 - 16 APR 2010

This week we pray against DECEPTION (Part 2) as Jesus provided distinct warnings against deception, “Take heed that now no one deceives you” (Matthew 24:4)

Dear Heavenly Father,

As Christians, we pray that whatever we do, we must be in alignment with the TRUTH. Jesus said “I am the way, the TRUTH and the life” (John 14:6). “Every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God, and this is the Spirit of the Anti-Christ which you have heard coming, and is now already in the world” (1 John 4:3) The bible also says in 1 John 2.19, that the antichrists went out from us, they are the apostatized ones and we pray that we may have the discernment to know the spirit of antichrist and be able to set ourselves apart so we shall not fall into DECEPTION. Let us be Your anointed ones that uphold the biblical truth of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Jesus prayed to the Father saying, “Your word is TRUTH” (John 17:17) . Lord, please let us adhere strictly to your Word so there will not be a progressive corruption of human morals and ethics based on our own intellectualism , interpretations, tolerance and liberalism.

The Holy Spirit confirms the TRUTH, He is the reality of God’s Presence at Jesus’ baptism and crucifixion. (1 John 5:6)  Jesus assured His apostles, “When He, the Spirit of TRUTH has come, He will guide you into all TRUTH.” May we as Christians follow the lead of the Holy Spirit who never glorifies human personality, a doctrine, a movement, a denomination but Christ Himself.

LET US CONFESS THE BASIC TRUTHS OF CHRISTIAN FAITH AS DECREED BY THE APOSTLES’ CREED.

JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD, THAT HE WAS CONCEIVED OF A VIRGIN, THAT HE LED A SINLESS LIFE, THAT HE DIED AN ATONING DEATH, THAT HE WAS BURIED AND RAISED AGAIN FROM THE DEAD 3 DAYS LATER AND THAT HE WILL COME AGAIN IN POWER AND GLORY TO JUDGE THE LIVING AND THE DEAD ALIKE.

In Jesus’ Holy Name we pray,
Amen

Richest Blessings to all of you!

3 - 9 APR 2010

Easter is around the corner, let us corporately pray and thank God for sending His only Son to die on the CROSS for us, so we may reconcile with God and with each other. Let us pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for Your Sovereign grace and Your measureless love that Jesus Christ died and paid an awesome price for us. We want to praise You for this glorious grace which You have freely given us so that in Christ, we have redemption through His blood and the forgiveness of sins (Ephesians 1:6). By the blood Jesus shed on the cross, may You deliver us from these effects of iniquities: Breakdown of marriage, family alienation, financial insufficiency, chronic sickness, emotional or mental breakdown, drug addiction, immorality and injustice. Through the perfect sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, the iniquities were taken away and the Divine Exchange took place to unlock all the treasures of God’s provision.

May we all immerse in these Divine Exchange:

  • Jesus was punished that we might be forgiven. (Ephesians 1:7)
  • Jesus was wounded that we might be healed. (1 Peter 2:24)
  • Jesus was made sin due to our sinfulness that we might be made righteous with His righteousness. (Romans 8:9-11)
  • Jesus conquered our death that we might share His life. (Romans 5:10)
  • Jesus was made a curse that we might receive the blessings (Galatians 3:13-14).
  • Jesus endured our poverty that we might share His abundance. (2 Corinthians 8:9)
  • Jesus bore our shame that we might share His glory. (Isaiah 61:7).
  • Jesus endured our rejection that we might enjoy His acceptance. (Isaiah 53:3)
  • Our old man died in Jesus that we become the new creation in Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Let us continue to walk in faith so that we shall have a victorious and successful journey till we meet one day, face to face in our Heavenly inheritance.

In Jesus’ Holy name we pray, Amen.

Richest Blessings to all of you!

27 MAR - 2 APR 2010

By the grace and mercy of God, HK is close to accomplishing the mandate based on the prayer initiative originated from Africa in 2005.

In July 2004, God captured the heart of a South African Christian businessman, Graham Power, with a vision based on 2 Chronicles 7:14 to have prayer 6 years around the world from 2005 to 2010. By 2009, the miracle was in full blossom when the Global Day of Prayer (GDOP) miraculously expanded throughout the world drawing 220 countries to pray together. Hong Kong has been truly blessed for being a part of this Global Prayer Movement. Last year, Hong Kong was chosen to be the “anchor city” when Graham, his team and other prayer leaders around the world came to pray at the 3-hour-prayer-event held at the Hong Kong Stadium on 15th May 2009. That event was televised by GodTV and broadcasted around the world. Praise the Lord!

SINCE THE ORIGINAL VISION WAS FOR 6 YEARS, HENCE THIS YEAR’S GDOP HONG KONG WOULD BE THE LAST ONE.

Global Day of Prayer 2010

There is an urgent call this year that we have to come back to the heart of the Father as He desires to dwell in us. May we come together to worship Him and to give Him praise for who He is, His Sovereignty, His love, His mercy and His faithfulness. We thank Him for loving us in spite of our sins and rebellion. Let us thank Him for what He has done in our lives. We pray that He will continue to rend the heavens to bless HK (Isaiah 64:1) and to shower His Fatherly blessings upon us. Let us walk in His Light to experience His Divine favour, miracles, wonders, healing and deliverance. May the knowledge of His Glory covers Hong Kong like the waters cover the sea. (Habakkuk 2:14)

Let us go through this journey together. The 2010 GDOP event consists of the following 3 parts:
1)   10 Days of constant prayers leading to Pentecost (13 – 23 May 2010)
2)   1 day of Prayer witnessed by the whole city (23 May 2010)
3)   90 days of Blessings (24 May to 21 August 2010)

20 - 26 MAR 2010

This week may we pray a prayer against DECEPTION (Part 1) as Jesus provided distinct warnings against deception “Take heed that no one deceives you” (Matthew 24:4).

Dear Father God,

You are our loving Father and protector. May you teach us Your ways – the Truth and the Light. May you impart to us the spirit of DISCERNMENT so we know what is right and wrong and may we be able to “test all things, hold fast what is good” (Thessalonians 5:21).  But many times because of PRIDE, we deny our vulnerability to deception. We are incapable of discerning truth on our own. “He who trusts in his own heart is a fool” (Proverbs 28:26)

First, may we pray against our PRIDE as the Proverbs says, “Pride goes before destruction”. There are many times that our human personality takes the stage and assumes supremacy and we do things that glorify ourselves. Many times, we fall into temptations and based our decisions on our self-righteousness rather than Godly Righteousness, fruitless discussions, spiritual blindness and think ourselves as gods. We do not tremble and have a fearful respect for Your Word – The Bible. “For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness and seeking to establish their own righteousness of God!” (Romans 10:3). Sorry, Lord, we have sinned against You.

Lord, we pray and make an ultimate decision to practice HUMILITY today. Lord, let us be reminded that You choose the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise. Lord, you choose the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty. Lord, you choose the lowly things to be Your pure and empty vessels, so no one can boast that we are clever, strong and wise. (1 Corinthians 1:26-29) Let our attitude not be puffed up and be prideful but also remember that only by Your grace and mercy, that we are called and chosen.

Father, You never leave us or forsake us. Thank you for sending Your son, Jesus on earth to teach us “True Humility”. Jesus, thank you for coming to the world, led a sinless life, and being found in appearance as a man, you humbled yourself and became obedient to death — even death on a cross! (Philippians 2:8) Holy Spirit, thank you for being our counselor and teaching us Truth and True Humility. ” When He, the Spirit of truth has come, He will guide you into all truth.” (John 16:13)

Lord, may You transform us into the true likeness of Jesus Christ and may You have all the glory.

In the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.

13 - 19 MAR 2010

We are pleased to announce that there will be a “City Delight 3” to be held in the Ark on March 26th – 27th 2010. The theme is to bring the Father’s love to widows and orphans in the city.

Easter is around the corner and may we reflect on the Father’s love for sending His own Son to earth to bring forth salvation and redemption to mankind. (John 3:16)

May we not only reflect but also respond to the love of the Father by doing what is deep in His heart and actively carry out what is in His will.  The Bible says His heart is with WIDOWS and ORPHANS (Deuteronomy 16:13-15).

Let us pray for the WIDOWS and ORPHANS:

Dear Father God,

         May You birth within us a great desire to love You with all our heart, mind, soul and spirit. May You also build within us a desire to love what you love and what is deep in Your heart. You mentioned many times in the Bible that Your heart is with the widows and orphans and You would like men to turn back to You so they can dwell with You in Your Holy place. (Psalm 68:5)

        Father, we repent of those times when we fell short of what is deep in Your heart. We repent if we have in any way neglected the widows and orphans, ignored them, looked down on them, deprived them of their rights, withheld justice from them and held a lukewarm attitude towards them. Lord, we have sinned against You and we ask You to forgive us.

  • Lord, we ask You to give us more of your heart, a heart which overflows with Love, Righteousness and Compassion;
  • May You also use us as Your pure vessels so You can love them through us;
  • May we be a testimony to them so when people see our good deeds, people will praise our Father in Heaven (Matthew 5:16);
  • May we be like the hyssop used during the Passover: that we can preach to the people the power of the blood, the purification of our sins (Psalms 51:7) and the ultimate good news of salvation and redemption;
  • God, may Your spirit be upon us and may we carry Your anointing to preach good news to the poor, heal the broken hearted, announce freedom to all captives. (Isaiah 61:1)

Father, You are a faithful and loving God. In their times of aching emptiness, unbearable pain, intense loneliness, may the widows and orphans experience Your warm Fatherly embrace and believe in Your promises:

“to bestow on them a crown of beauty, instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor.” “Instead of their shame my people will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace they will rejoice in their inheritance; and so they will inherit a double portion in their land, and everlasting joy will be theirs.” (Isaiah 61:3, 7)

Lord, may You have all the Glory!

I pray in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

5 - 12 MAR 2010

Let us corporately pray for OPEN HEAVENS this week as the Bible says in Isaiah 64:1 “ Oh, that You would rend the heavens and come down, that the mountain could tremble before you”. Let us pray:

Dear Father God,

        You are a loving God and a faithful God and you will not withhold any blessings and good things from us when we walk in righteousness, justice and holiness. But we and our ancestors have sinned against You and we hereby pray for Your mercy, grace and forgiveness.

*     May all our sins that have given the enemy legal rights on us and our family be broken in the Name of Jesus;

*     May all the sins of our ancestors which are contrary to our divine destinies be broken in the Name of Jesus;

*     May every spirit hindering our perfect healings which will bring us to full restoration be broken in the Name of Jesus;

*     May the spirit of idolatry, worshiping false gods and the occults be broken in the Name of Jesus;

*     May the spirit of dishonoring parents be broken in the name of Jesus;

*     May the spirit of unnatural sex (adultery, fornication, incest, homosexuality, bestiality etc.) be broken in the Name of Jesus;

*     May the spirit of injustice to the weak and helpless be broken in the Name of Jesus;

*     May the spirit of greed and being stingy with God be broken in the Name of Jesus;

        We thank you that through the redemptive power in the blood of Jesus, we can stand in victory and can partake in all of God’s heavenly blessings. Hence, we pray corporately and passionately and plead that You will BLAST the heavens open enabling us to obtain the breakthroughs we need for our lives.

        The Bible says, “I tell you the truth, you shall see heaven open and the angels of God ascending and descending” (John 1:51), thus bringing multiple blessings and protection into our lives which include divine favour, miracles, promotion, breakthroughs, sound mind and peace etc.

        Lord, may Your face shine upon us always and be gracious to us. May Your light shine on our every path and on our every deed and may Your divine favor encompass us all the days of our lives.

May You, Lord, have all the Glory!

I pray in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

27 FEB - 4 MAR 2010

Let us pray for the GOVERNMENT of Hong Kong, even as the Scripture taught us in 1 Tim 2: 1-2 “I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.”

Prayer for the Government

Dear Heavenly Father,

First, we offer you thanksgiving for Hong Kong, for you have blessed us with a stable, healthy and incorrupt Government. O Lord, as the Scripture says: “Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.” (Nehemiah 8:10). Therefore we are filled with joy as we come before the throne of God through prayer. We are convinced that you will strengthen our government to learn how to govern Hong Kong effectively during this last time generation.

O Lord, the book of Proverbs reminds us: “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.” O Lord who holds the authority of kingdoms and nations, we ask that those who are in authority on earth can become instruments in God’s hand, understanding God's will. O Lord, may all the brothers and sisters who serve in the government be given the intelligence of Daniel, the wisdom of Solomon, and the faithfulness of Mordecai. May we remember to act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with our God, establishing Hong Kong to be a society that is more harmonious and a society that’s after the Lord’s own heart.

O Lord, we live in a crooked and depraved generation. The pride and lustful indulgences of mankind have obstructed the healthy growth of the next generation, shaking the foundation of society. We pray, O Lord, that you bless the brothers and sisters who serve in the government, to learn to deny themselves and have Christ's heart as their heart, holding firm to Biblical truth, and being moved by the Spirit of unity in the Lord, supporting each other, and building each other up. That we may put on the armour of God together, depend on the God-given strength as the weapon with which we fight, demolish all strongholds and schemes that oppose Christ, and let justice, forgiveness, love and peace of God fill the land of Hong Kong.

We pray sincerely in the Holy Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

20 - 26 FEB 2010

Let us pray that 2010 will be a year to triumph in Christ as the Bible says, “ Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuse the fragrance of His knowledge to every place ” (2 Corinthians 2:14 )

Let us corporately pray that we can be carriers of THIS FRAGRANCE to every place, the different mountains and the different spheres of influence in the city of Hong Kong.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We as Christians have the responsibility as the people of God to carry Your fragrance to fill our families, workplaces and communities.  Father, thank You for using us as your representatives to bring Heaven’s Glory to earth.  Father, may You help us to understand what is in Your heart and sanctify us so we can be clean vessels to be used by You.

May the blood of Jesus cleanse away all our frustration, depression, discouragement, unbelief, lukewarmness and other bondages that paralyse us from fulfilling our destinies.

May the fire of the Holy Spirit helps us to take a step of faith and move out of our comfort zone with zeal, passion and boldness.

Lord, may you give us a holy HUNGER AND THIRST that can never be quenched. Let us not be content only with our personal salvation but give us a heart to see our city TRANSFORMED by the Kingdom culture and Kingdom dynamics.  We believe in your promise stated in Joel 2 : “I will pour out my Spirit on All people ”.

We believe that:

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me,

To preach the gospel to the poor,

He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted,

To proclaim liberty to the captive

And recovery of sight to the blind,

To set at liberty those who are oppressed (Luke 4 :18)

Thank you Lord for empowering us with the Holy Spirit so that everywhere we go, we can bring the knowledge of Christ to people around us. Everywhere we go, we can bring His exquisite fragrance to set people free. Everywhere we go, we can exercise Kingdom authority to subdue and to redeem dominion that has been lost. Everywhere we go, we can have access to the throne of grace and have the divine favour that we are partakers of all heaven’s spiritual blessings.

13 - 19 FEB 2010

Chinese New Year is around the corner. May we wish all of you a very joyful, peaceful and prosperous New Year. For this week’s prayer mobilization, let us corporately pray for RESTORATION OF FAMILIES.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for the institution of marriage which You have designed out of Your goodness. The Bible says that two are better than one. There is more power when people pray together in UNITY. “One shall chase a thousand and two ten thousand” (Deuteronomy 32:30).

Father, let our marriage be a triangle where God is at the top and husband and wife at the bottom. May You be the source, the strength and the protector and let both parties submit to Your Will and Your commands. A 3 way cord is not easily broken (Ecclesiastes 4:12).

The Bible says “whatever we bind on earth will be bind in Heaven and whatever we loose on earth will be loosed in Heaven” (Matthew 18:18).

In the name of Jesus, we bind all spirits that come against the marriage: ANGER, STRIFE, PRIDE, SELFISHNESS, ADULTERY, HARSH WORDS, LACK OF SUBMISSION BY WIFE, POOR LEADERSHIP FROM HUSBAND, SPIRITUAL BACKSLIDING, JEZEBEL SPIRIT, HATRED, IMPATIENCE, CRITICISM, FEAR, COMPETITION, LYING, DOMINEERING CHARACTER, CONDEMNATION, DECEIT, BETRAYAL, REJECTION, and DIVISION.

In the name of Jesus, we command every evil wind and spirit directed to destroy the marriage to be redirected and to be crushed and be paralysed by the Holy Spirit.

In the name of Jesus, we release FAITH, HOPE, LOVE, JOY, PEACE, HARMONY, ONENESS, AGREEMENT, PATIENCE, GOODNESS, GENTLENESS, RESPECT, GODLY ASSOCIATION, SELFLESSNESS, WISDOM, GOOD COMMUNICATION, APPRECIATION, KINDNESS, SELF-CONTROL, UNDERSTANDING, RECOGNITION, FULL KNOWLEDGE OF THE WORD OF GOD, OBEDIENCE, HUMILITY, FEAR OF THE LORD.

Father God, may You teach us how to pray. May You teach us how to love our spouses the way You love them. May You teach us how to bring heaven to earth. May You teach us to be radically obedient to Your command “What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder” (Matthew 19:6). May You teach us how to set up prayer altars, for when family prays together, they stay together. May You teach us to be sanctified so You will hear our prayers from heaven and answer our prayer.

Thank you Lord for Your grace and mercy that You have once again restored our marriages and once again allowing peace like living water running into and through our homes. As the bible says: This is what the LORD says— your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: "I am the LORD your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go. If only you had paid attention to my commands, your peace would have been like a river, your righteousness like the waves of the sea. Your descendants would have been like the sand, your children like its numberless grains; their name would never be cut off nor destroyed from before me."(Isaiah 48:17-19)

REPENTANCE II – Elisha’s Generation (The Younger Generation)

This repentance prayer is for the youth and for those who have the heart to stand in the gap to repent for the Elisha’s generation - the younger generation. (Ezekiel 22:30)

Dear Heavenly Father,
*   Please forgive us for not being rooted in you, and that our foundation is not based on righteousness, justice and holiness. (Ephesians 4:23-24)
*   Please forgive us that our own identity is based on our own intellectualism and on our human achievements hence we become PRIDEFUL. Let us remember what the bible says: "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. (James 4:6)
*   Please forgive us that we do not honor our parents (Ephesians 6:1-3) and other God-ordained authorities. (Romans 13:1-2)
*   Please forgive us for being self-centered, judgmental and unwilling to forgive.
*   Please forgive us for always thinking ourselves better than others. But the Bible teaches us – Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of us should look not only to our own interests, but also to the interests of others. (Philippians 2:3-4)
*   Please forgive us that we based our confidence on human achievement and when we fail, we feel DEFEATED, have low self-esteem and worse still; we want to give up not knowing that God has a Divine plan for us.
*   Please forgive us for opening our mind and soul to all kinds of deception and hence we are easily manipulated by ungodly spirits around us. (Colossians 1:21-22)
*   Please forgive us for our non-teachable and rebellious spirit.
*   Please forgive us for not winning the trust and hearts of the Elijah’s generation, so that the older generation cannot impart to us their knowledge, experiences, strategies and resources.
*   Please forgive us for manipulating the interpretation of rules to our own convenience and advantage.

Father God, through our act of repentance, may you wipe away our sins and pour out Your blessings to refresh us (Acts 3:19). May You pour down Your double anointing onto us young people like you did to Elisha. May You pour down the Spirit of Joshua so we may be bold, wise and courageous and do great exploits for the Lord. May we have the Spirit of David where we will reign with Christ as kings over our own domain in the future. May we have the Spirit of Ruth to learn submission to the older generation so we will be mightily blessed with a Kinsman Redeemer. May we have the Spirit of Esther who has the boldness to step out of her comfort zone for such a time as this to save a nation.

Repentance Part 1 for the Elijah Generation.

The Bible says “I accept your prayer, I have chosen your home to be a family altar, to be a house of prayer and worship. If I ever shut off the supply of rain from the skies or order the locusts to eat the crops or send a plague on my people, and my people, my God – defined people, respond by humbling themselves, seeking my presence and REPENT, I’ll be there ready for you. I’ll listen from heaven, forgive your sins, and restore your family to health.” (2 Chronicles 7:12-15)

This week, let us all humble ourselves and pray in REPENTANCE.

Dear Father God,

As an Elijah Generation, we return to You with all our hearts to REPENT of the following areas where we have fallen short of Your Glory. (Romans 3:22-23)

*   Father, please forgive us for not setting up family altars in our homes. We did not put You as Centre in our prayer and worship.

*   Please forgive us for not teaching and imparting God’s value in bringing up our children. Instead, we often use our fleshly and worldly ways to raise them up.

*   Please forgive us for idolizing our children and think that they are our possession as opposed to God’s gifts. Let us not centre on their short term earthly achievements but rather to nurture them to be the people God created them to be.

*   Please forgive us for being manipulative and controlling, making our children more dependent on us than on God.

*   Please forgive us for talking too much and listening too little, for being impatient and not giving sufficient grace, and for jumping into conclusion without asking God to show us the root of their problems.

*   Please forgive us for believing money and materialistic things are primarily what our children need. In fact most of the time, they need our physical presence and our quality time.

*   Please forgive us for being addicted to things and not setting a good example before our children.

*   Please forgive us for rebuking our children to release frustration instead of building them up.

Lord, you promised in the Bible “Repent then and turn our face back to You, so You can wipe away our sins and pour out Your blessings to refresh us”. (Acts 3:19)

Lord, please raise us up to be nurturing mothers, please raise us up to be protective fathers, please let us provide homes to our children which are loving, peaceful and supportive, so that they can feel the security and comfort and be able to share with us what is in their hearts including their shame and growing pains.

May you also bless and have mercy on the unbelieving parents that they will have the opportunity to hear the gospel and turn to Christ, so that they too, in turn, will teach their children the Godly values and principles.

As You have forgiven us, may we also learn how to forgive others so our hearts will be filled with gratitude, love and joy without harbouring any guilt, condemnation, anger and critical spirit.

Lord, may You be the CENTRE in our homes as the Bile says “Unless the LORD builds the house, its builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain.”(Psalms 127:1)

In Jesus’ Holy Name we pray. Amen.

23 - 29 JAN 2010

Jesus said to his disciples that “Indeed Elijah is coming first and will restore all things” (Matthew 17:10-13). The bible says in Luke 1:17 that “John the Baptist will go on before the Lord, in the spirit and power of Elijah to turn the hearts of the fathers to their children and the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous.” So this week let us all pray for the “Spirit of Elijah” to fall on the grown-up generation.

Dear Father God,

We pray in unity that You will raise up an “Elijah Generation” that does not only do tremendous things for this generation but also releases even greater things to the NEXT GENERATION - as our ceiling is our children's floor. Father God, please raise us up to be powerful prayer intercessors to move beyond “second heaven” intercession and step into “third heaven” where we go into heaven, seek the counsel of God and release His decrees on Earth - bringing the will of God “on earth as it is in heaven”.

Let us know how to raise up the future generation to be God-fearing and to submit to His commandments and God-ordained authorities. “The Fear-of-God builds up confidence, and makes a world safe for your children.” (Proverbs 14:26)

Let us know how to guide our next generations from all deceptions which contradict spiritual instructions.

Let us know how to give them opportunities to excel, confidence to blossom and wisdom to have great spiritual understanding and discernment.

Let us help them fulfill their purposes in their lives.

Let us know how to be good leaders by setting good examples to them both in words and actions.

Let us know how to hold their hands when they fall and give encouragement, counsel and support to them so they would have the boldness to stand on their feet again.

Let us not look down on the young, as the bible says in 1 Timothy 4:12 “Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.”

Father, we pray for this “Elisha generation” (our younger generation) to be a generation that is full of grace, with words seasoned with salt so they know how to communicate with the Elijah generation.

Let them have a grateful heart towards their Heavenly Father and their earthly parents. “Turn their hearts and understanding to their fathers” (Malachi 4:6).

Let their hearts be like David who follows and pursues the heart of God and be away from ungodly filth, profanity, violence and blasphemy.

Let them know how to win the trust and hearts of the Elijah's generation so that the older generation can impart to them more of their knowledge, experiences, strategies and resources.

Let them have a heart of humility and understand the principle of servant-leadership like Jesus.

Let them understand and apply the virtue of hard work because the Bible teaches us “All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty” (Proverbs 14:23).

Let them lead their lives manifesting the fruit of the Holy Spirit and also know how to tap into the power of God through the understanding of the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Let intergenerational love and unity break all strongholds that stop the blessings and favours of God upon us all.

In Jesus’ Holy Name we pray. Amen.

16 - 22 JAN 2010

In this week's prayer mobilization, let us ask our Heavenly Father to stir the hearts of all Christians to understand and to pray since we must seek Him for His heavenly wisdom to discern the knowledge and information around us.

Let us pray to God that we do not base our decisions and actions on worldly wisdom, human intellectualism and rationalism but rather, humble ourselves to seek for heavenly wisdom, divine strategies which are directive in nature to bring joy, peace, love, understanding, power into our city.

Let us remember that “word is Power”, so we as Christians should not curse but speak words of blessings and thankfulness that whatever comes out from our mouths will be wholesome, and helpful for building others according to their needs and that it may benefit those who listen.

Let us proclaim that Hong Kong is a city on top of a hill where righteousness (right with God), justice (bring justice to the poor, bring justice to the law breakers) and holiness prevails. As the Bible says in Isaiah 11:4: "but with righteousness he will judge the needy, with justice he will give decisions for the poor of the earth."

God understands our hurts, our cries, our needs, our limitations, and our fear. Do not be anxious, therefore, for in His time, He will make everything beautiful. In everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Our God is a powerful God and His word is sharper than any double-edged sword.

Let us be united to be a collective voice in expressing the righteousness of God to the city:

"Don't be naïve. There are difficult times ahead. As the end approaches , people are going to be self-absorbed, money-hungry, self-promoting, stuck-up, profane, comtemptuous of parents, crude, coarse, dog-eat-dog, unbending, slanderers, impulsively wild, savage, cynical, treacherous, ruthless, bloated windbags, addicted to lust, and allergic to God. They'll make a show of religion, but behind the scenes they're animals. Stay clear of them (II Timothy 3:1-5)

Citywide has proclaimed the word of God on 12th March, 2008 in one of our events ‘Voice of Righteousness”.  Please refer to the link http:www.cityrenewal.com.hk/English/Voice.html for more details.

May God bless and protect your families.

9 - 15 JAN 2010

Happy New Year to you all in 2010!

After many years of prayer, we believe that grace has been released to the city of Hong Kong and now it is time for us to move in faith and to walk hand-in-hand and redeem for the Lord the ‘seven mountains’ which are the ‘seven main pillars’ of the society.

Let us all identify which spheres of influence and domain we are in, e.g. let the teachers pray for education, policemen pray for law and order etc. Let us pray to God to give us the Holy-Spirit-inspired-strategies, wisdom, revelations and authority to execute and redeem our lost inheritance.

Instead of always harping on our sins, let us all work on identifying the root of sin and try to uproot it from there. Jeremiah 1:10 See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant.

The root of a lot of problems in the society stems from homes and families without God’s Divine order. Malachi 4:5-6 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet Before the great and dreadful day of the Lord. And he will turn The hearts of the fathers to the children, And the hearts of the children to their fathers, Lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.

So let us rise to the call in 2010 and let us corporately pray this prayer (GDOP 2009) together:

“We pray that the Heavenly Father would forgive our sins, through indulgence we destroyed God’s original intention for the family. We pray that the Lord would now raise up the heads of the families, raise up godly and holy men, to protect their family with love and loyalty. Raise up wives who love the Lord, love their husband and children, to become the partner and suitable helper of their husband’s life. Again call every family to become good grounds for nurturing a godly younger generation. We pray that the Heavenly Father would send the Holy Spirit to establish an altar in every family. We pray that the Heavenly Father would protect the integrity and unity of the family, so that “as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord!” We pray in the Name of the Lord Jesus, Amen.”

19 DEC 2009 - 8 JAN 2010

During this season, we are re-praying the powerful prayers prayed by different people on GDOP 2009 – “ Prayer for Education ”

Our Lord, the only master, we pray that you will take authority over the education sector. May teachers recover the mission that is based on a vision of life-building and student-nurturing. May they not only offer their enthusiasm, but also earnestly seek God's method of wisdom in teaching students. May the interaction between those that learn and those that teach be filled with quality communication and bonding, and the questions and answers be filled with searching and building up. Faced with the rapid pace of educational reform, we pray that the Lord will grant policy makers the patience to continue to listen, to deepen in understanding, and against all odds unite teachers, parents and students and lead them in the direction of holistic education in Hong Kong. We pray that these policy makers be given an ever broadening vision, so that they consider not only the needs in socio-economic development, but to emphasize also the "human" values, and give weight to the establishment of principles, morals and character. We pray that the Lord would give us grace during the implementation of the reform measures, to be filled with wisdom and courage to discern and judge, so that the measures can be coordinated appropriately, and can truly edifying our precious next generation. Thank you, Lord, In the Holy Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
